The Official Language School of Estepona celebrates Erasmus+ Month and opens the pre-registration period for the next academic year 2024/2025
From May 6 to 7, the EOI will welcome teachers and students from Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Turkey. The pre-registration period will be open from May 1 to 20, 2024
The deputy mayor of the Sociocultural area, Paula Herrera, and the head of studies at the Official Language School of Estepona, Laura Sánchez, announced today that the town's Official Language School will celebrate the Erasmus+ Month from May 6 to 17.
As reported by the municipal official, for two weeks this center will receive a group of approximately 40 people, made up of teachers and students from various educational centers in Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Turkey.
Among the visitors, as announced by the mayor, are representatives of the CPIA of Naples, the CPIA of Formia, The European Center ACTA in Romania, the Casa Corpului Didactic center of Giurgiu in Romania, the Bristol School Center of Baja in Hungary, the Multilingual Center in Tallinn, Estonia, and the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Kocaeli, Turkey.
The Erasmus+ Month, declared Paula Herrera, represents a valuable opportunity to publicize the Estepona Language School and the pedagogical approach with which languages are taught in this center, as well as to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge between professionals. and students from different countries.
For her part, the head of studies Laura Sánchez, has specified that these visits are part of the Accreditation Project that the Language School has been developing since the 2020 academic year, thus contributing to the internationalization of this center. In addition, he explained that during this stay, the teaching staff will actively participate in the life of the center, observing and collaborating in various classes and activities scheduled for these weeks. Among them, a guided tour of the city of Estepona stands out and participation in the celebration of the festival of San Isidro Labrador together with the educational community of the EOI Estepona.
Sánchez has also announced that the Official Language School has opened the pre-registration period for its 2024/25 language courses, which will run from May 1 to 20, both inclusive. The School's training offer includes a wide variety of courses designed to meet the learning needs of all students. In the area of French, face-to-face courses are offered from level A1 to level C1.2, providing students with the opportunity to improve their language skills from basic to advanced levels.
As for English, the Official Language School of Estepona offers both face-to-face and blended courses. Face-to-face courses range from level A1 to level C1.2, while blended courses are available from level A1 to level B2. This variety of modalities allows students to choose the option that best suits their schedules and learning preferences.
In addition, the School offers a series of quarterly courses aimed at consolidating and perfecting the students' linguistic skills. These courses include "Activate your French" at levels B1 and B2, as well as "Activate your English" at levels B1, B2 and C1. New this year, the School presents a four-month course specially designed for absolute beginners in English, providing the opportunity to start learning this language from scratch.
