The City Council is organizing a program of activities to celebrate Foreign Residents' Day.

The event will be held this Saturday, April 26, from 12:00 to 20:00 in Calvario Park. More than twenty stands will be held by foreign groups from different countries, showcasing their cuisine, crafts, and traditions.

Estepona City Council announces that this Saturday, April 26th, a new edition of Foreign Residents' Day will be held from 12:00 to 20:00 in Calvario Park. The event, organized by the Council, will feature twenty-five stands from foreign groups showcasing typical products from each country.

The deputy mayor of the Suburbs area, Begoña Ortíz, stated that the objective of this annual event is to strengthen ties and foster coexistence among citizens of different nationalities who reside in Estepona, as well as to learn about the culture of each of the participating countries.

The municipal official also emphasized that this event provides a unique opportunity to sample traditional cuisine and purchase artisanal products from countries present at this event, such as Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Malta, the Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, Romania, Ukraine, Morocco, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela. This year, we also welcome Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Ecuador, and France.

Also, according to the councilor, the Spanish stand will showcase the richness of our cuisine and culture, featuring performances by three local dance schools: La Milana, Ana Guerrero and Marví Dominguez, and Claudia Ramírez "La Maravilla." There will be informational booths from AREME, Gatos y Amigos, AECC, and the Official Language School.

This year, the "Foreign Resident of the Year" award will go to Johnny Cuellar of Bolivia, Carlos Stieffel of Argentina, and Teresa Rocío Mateos Torras of Mexico, for their work in the foreign community and their participation in "Foreign Resident Day" and "Sweet Christmas Gathering" for two decades.

For this open day, a cultural program has been designed with performances by different artists representing their countries, as well as dance academies from Estepona.
