
Concert season - mpal band. music - summer 2025
The Estepona Municipal Band will open the summer concert season in Cancelada with a program of pasodobles and zarzuelas.
The summer concert season will begin on Sunday, July 20th, at 9:00 PM, in Plaza José Vázquez Espinosa, in the Cancelada neighborhood. Concerts will continue every Sunday in Plaza del Reloj, concluding on August 24th in Plaza del Ajedrez, with a special performance dedicated to Miguel Ríos, featuring singer Serafín Zubiri.
Estepona City Council announces that the new season of Summer Concerts by the Estepona Municipal Music Band (BME) will kick off next Sunday, July 20, at 9:00 p.m., in José Vázquez Espinosa Square, in Cancelada, with a program of pasodobles and zarzuelas.
This is the sixteenth season of the BME under the artistic direction of maestro José Antonio López Camacho. During the six free performances included in this series, the Estepona Municipal Band will perform more than fifty works, including pasodobles, soundtracks from television series and films, major classical and musical works, zarzuelas, modern popular music, and more.
The following performances will take place every Sunday in the central Plaza del Reloj, concluding on August 24th at the Plaza del Ajedrez, with the solo concert dedicated to Miguel Ríos, "Bienvenidos," alongside singer Serafín Zubiri.
The Estepona Band's origins date back to 1940, and it has performed continuously ever since, making it one of the oldest bands in the country. On its 75th anniversary, the City Council awarded it the Gold Medal of the City.
