Estepona City Council announces that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, is hosting an exhibition of sculptures by the artist Juan Porras Sánchez.
The sculpture exhibition "Arte de Kappa" consists of 18 works and can be visited until July 30, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Juan Porras Sánchez is a sculptor who primarily focuses on wood, a material with which he creates pieces that explore form, texture, and the connection with nature. His work also includes stone and cork, always maintaining an organic and artisanal language.
From his workshop in Ojén, he creates sculptures that combine tradition and contemporary sensibility, always seeking balance between matter and emotion.
He has participated in solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the Museo del Molino in Ojén and La Fábrica in Lanjarón, which has allowed him to project his work to new audiences and consolidate his career within the current art scene.
Today, he continues to develop his work with a firm commitment to maintaining the relationship between art and nature, understanding sculpture as a constant dialogue between humans and their environment.
