In December, the theater will be performing "A Doll's House," starring Sevillian actress María León.
The Councilor for Culture, Macarena Diánez, has announced that the program is available on the website www.teatroestepona.com, where some of the events planned for 2026 can also be found, such as the concert by José Mercé, the monologue by José Luis Calero, and the performance of the Martínez Ares comparsa 'Los humanos', Rafael Álvarez 'El Brujo', Alex O'Dogherty, and Luis Piedrahita, among others.
The new phase comes with a renewed vision that seeks to maximize the space and offer continuous, diverse, and high-quality programming, both in the main hall and in Hall 2, as well as in the outdoor spaces, according to those responsible for 'Eternidad Eventos', who have commented that detailed information will be provided on the different shows that are added to the program.
To this end, they will feature prestigious companies and artists of national and international standing, thus strengthening the Auditorium's cultural presence on the Costa del Sol.
Among the notable projects is the programming of outdoor concert series and an indoor program aimed at all audiences. Artistic and audiovisual training will also be promoted, with the space being opened to schools of theater, dance, music, and new disciplines, encouraging the participation of young talent. "We firmly believe in the enormous potential of the Felipe VI Auditorium Theater, a space that can be fully utilized. Our commitment is to open its doors to culture, education, and quality entertainment for all audiences," stated Marchena and Izquierdo.
With this new management, the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre aspires to become a leading cultural and social hub, bringing art, music, theatre, and education to the heart of Estepona and the Costa del Sol.
The Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre has celebrated its tenth anniversary since its opening in March 2015. With a constructed area of 5,500 square meters, its main hall has capacity for 600 seats and a 225-square-meter stage. It is one of the most important municipal facilities built by the current government in its determined commitment to the development of culture and to providing the municipality with a large space dedicated to the performing arts, music, and culture.
In addition to the main hall, the auditorium has a secondary hall with folding seating and additional capacity for up to 100 people. It also has a semi-covered outdoor area, compatible with the building's interior uses. The building is also equipped to host large conferences. Its versatility has led it to be considered a landmark on the Costa del Sol.
