A Christmas Park with great attractions for children and families will liven up these holidays in the outdoor area of the Felipe VI Theatre
The Estepona City Council today presented the program of cultural, festive and leisure activities that it has organized to celebrate Christmas.
The councillor for Culture and Festivals, Macarena Diánez, explained that numerous events have been scheduled for the enjoyment of children and adults alike, most of them free, at various locations, cultural spaces, streets, and squares throughout Estepona. There will be concerts, nativity scene and facade decorating contests, musicals, ballets, flamenco performances, children's parties, charity events, food festivals, and the traditional New Year's concert, culminating in the grand Three Kings Parade.
The festivities will begin on November 28th at 7:00 PM in Plaza Antonia Guerrero with the official lighting of the Christmas lights. The event will feature performances by the Estepona Christmas carol groups 'Nostalgia Navideña' and 'Jesús Cautivo', and a performance by singer Julia Fernández-Llébrez, winner of the 10th 'Estepona CREA'24' youth competition.
One of this year's new features will be the Christmas Park, which will play a prominent role during the holidays. It will include an ice rink, Santa's house, a carousel, bumper cars, an ice slide, bouncy castles, and a food area, occupying the entire exterior of the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre. This space will be open from November 29 to January 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (it will be open from 11:00 a.m. on December 25 and January 1, and closed on December 24 and 31).
