FELIPE VI THEATER

Theater "i just want to go to france", with maria galiana

The Estepona City Council announces that next Saturday, January 17th, at 9:00 PM, the play "I Just Want to Go to France" will arrive at the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre. This journey towards freedom spans generations and features a star-studded cast led by María Galiana, alongside Nieve de Medina, Anna Mayo, and Alicia Armenteros.

'I Just Want to Go to France' is a bittersweet comedy where humor serves as a defense against pain and where, sometimes, going to France isn't an escape... but an act of freedom. The unusual wake that triggers a family reunion of four women and their discovery of a hidden past highlights the weight of emotional legacies passed down through generations.

María Galiana returns to the role of grandmother in this stage production written and directed by Alisabeth Larena, an actress known for her roles in 'Cuéntame cómo pasó', 'La que se avecina' or 'No matarás' and director of the award-winning documentary 'Actores' and the short film 'A date'.

Synopsis: Inés attends Pilar's wake, who decides to leave her house as an inheritance without ever having met her and without notifying Leo, her granddaughter.

Together they will discover a past they did not know, opening old family wounds that go back to Pilar's own childhood, during the last months of the Civil War and her youth in the Women's Section.

Tickets are on sale at teatroestepona.com and at the box office, starting two hours before the performance begins.
